OUR MODEL

We champion the UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts" and UN SDG 4 “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

We endorse Education International's Manifesto on Quality Climate Change Education for All (2021): “Students have a right to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to sustain our world for present and future generations, and they have the right to receive an education which prepares them for the world of work in a green economy.”

We endorse all the Recommendations of the WA Parliamentary Inquiry into the Response of Western Australian Schools to Climate Change in the Making Hope Practical report (2022), and ASK the state government, Catholic Education WA and Independent Schools WA to report on the progress of the Recommendations.

We endorse UNESCO’s visionFor all students to have access to a climate change education that helps people understand and address the impacts of the climate crisis, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed to act as agents of change”.

UNESCO (2024), Greening Curriculum Guidance: teaching and learning for climate action.
